I sit in August stillness,
Lungs fill with the breath of Creation.
Night crickets finish their songs,
As waking bird calls greet the rising sun.
I listen to the symphony
Of the living community atop grass and tree canopies.
Indoors, I had slept all night.
Now sitting in the threshold of dawn,
We all belong.

I really enjoyed your reading this morning. I couldn’t help but look at all the beauty around me. We are so blessed!
