Morning Harmony

September dawns to cooling air. Opened windows, opened porch! Chirping wrens, cawing jays and running water please my ear. I walk to the pond’s edge to this surprise. Living worlds await my eyes: Flowing water, frogs, fish and flowering lotus. Lord, have mercy! You are a wonder to behold!

Pondering Life this Autumn Morning

Holly trees, pushing red berries, beckon squirrels to breakfast. Chirping cardinals on this cloudy morn. Deciduous trees beginning to bare hidden branches. Life cycling in and out. Here I sit in the middle of it all. Christ is mystery… And lovely! Squirrels busily bending branches to fill their bellies.
