She gave me a wee pink plastic vial with a wand inside. Her instructions called me to remember when I was young and took delight in simple pleasures.
I found myself outside, blowing tiny bubbles into the warm summer air.
Some were teeny.
All were perfectly round.
Some doubled up to join with another.
All shone brilliantly iridescent colors of purples, yellows, blues, pinks.
They floated smoothly through the air:
Some quickly away from me,
Some toward me at first, before seeking others.
Effulgent colors swirling through their space!
Dancing downward now, their weight no longer bearable.
They seemed to have enjoyed this very short moment of exploration and discovery: Life!
Some drifted behind tall reeds near the pond.
One popped on my arm.
Another on my toe.
Others made it all the way to the ground,
All bursting in exuberant exhaustion,
Silent and Satisfied.
Gone now.
But my delight was awestruck wonder,
Having witnessed the dance of life.
Lord, Your breath shapes our being. You give us freedom and space to effect our mission, shining with others. You watch us float through time, interacting with creation. You guide us as we dance through life, before we come to rest gently back to earth, to Your embrace. Thank You for the journey!

I love this reflection!
